Kenneth W. Kahoun, Jr. is the leading expert in decorative concrete with over 40 years of expertise. As Principal of CFI, he has led highly experienced crews to complete an incomparable 223 golf courses, luxurious resorts, stadium projects and numerous unique concrete finishing projects worldwide.
Entrepreneurial at the young age of eight, Ken started a paper route business in his hometown Akron, Ohio. He selected a college curriculum to advance his business acumen by attending Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business Program and is a fellow society Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Determined, Ken traveled back to his hometown every summer break to pour enough concrete to pay for his own college tuition.
Pondering dangerously cold weather in Ohio during his Senior year of college in 1978, Ken decided to start his own concrete business by relocating to Arizona. Ken's entrepreneurial spirit and inherent work-ethic didn't stop there. He incorporated Concrete Finishing, Inc. in 1981 in the Valley of the Sun.
CFI has been recognized by the Arizona Chapter of American Concrete Institute, ACI, in "Exposing the BEST in Concrete" 2014 Concrete Awards Program for Architectural Flooring / Hardscape Commercial for work at the Cubs Spring Training Facility in Riverview Park.
